Some of you may notice that we’ve taken a small break from our blogging activities. The reason for this is quite simple. There were simply not enough hours in the day. Since the beginning of December we’ve been ridiculously busy with web projects. In fact, we’re still busy with web projects, just not so much.

A week or so ago we finished work on the new website for Rare Species Conservation Centre, a specialist zoo in Kent. In the next week we’ll have a case study on the project in which we talk about the development and design of the website in a bit of detail. It’s fair to say it was a large project to complete, perhaps our biggest to date.┬áRare Species Conservation Centre is a great zoological collection that focuses a lot of energy on its conservation projects, both on-site and around the world. If you get a chance to visit please do. You can check out the website here.

Another thing that we’ve been working on is the website. They always say a web designers website should never be finished and ours is no exception. We’ve added more pages regarding our services but now include Branding, HTML email design and Consulting. Keep an eye on the website as we’ll be adding more in the near future. Eagle eyed visitors to this is the website may also noticed that a fair few spelling mistakes and grammatical errors have been fixed. I personally write all the copy for the website – so I’m the one to blame – and unfortunately my strong points are web design, video production, etc, and not grammar and spelling.

At the end of last year we posted the first part of the multi-part blog about setting up your online business. This was something else that was left by the wayside while we worked on our clients projects. Will be finishing this run of posts very soon – we’ve written them just need to edit the text a little and upload them to this blog.

After our first post about getting your business online, there are a few enquiries as to whether we could help to set up peoples blogs. People had bought hosting that we had mentioned or themes that we raved about, but couldn’t put the two together, and so couldn’t install WordPress on their hosting accounts due to a lack of technical know-how. For this reason we have started a brand-new service where we will set up your WordPress blog for free. No we haven’t gone mad! Take a look at the page to find out how and why…

Another thing we did was take a 3 month sabbatical from social media – namely Twitter. We did throw up a couple of tweets here and there but unlike last year we haven’t been spending much time conversing with other people and businesses. There is a very good reason for this that will feature in an upcoming blog post – of course, the blog post will be available first to subscribers of our newsletter.
